“And someone always comes in”
Fanni, who started working at Dialogue Association last November, joined the NGO networking internship programme. She is currently a student of cultural anthropology at the University of Miskolc, but she also has a degree in graphic design and health care, and has tried her hand in several fields before. She saw the job advertisement on the university’s website and immediately felt that this would be a good opportunity to gain experience in the civil sector. She is already looking for organisations that Dialogue should contact in the hope of a future partnership.
“I spend most of my time in front of my laptop at the Avasi Community Café, but I know that the time will soon come when I can meet the NGOs I meet in the field. I look forward to it! In the meantime, I’m involved in the life of the café, which is an interesting experience in itself. It’s a pleasant environment and someone always pops in to ask about the programmes here or just wants to have a chat. Besides the world of Dialogue Association and the civil society, I’m also getting to know the city, as I’ve only recently started studying in Miskolc,” says Fanni, who comes from Kecskemét.
During the networking traineeship, supported by the German Marshall Fund (GMF), participants will map and analyse civil society in their region based on a methodology jointly developed by the Aspect Group organisations.
